A fun evening was had and we saw a short clip of "Wonka" on the new cinema screen. We also saw some classic BBC comedies and people's dexterity was tested in the domino tower exercise. We had one collapsing tower, but the team had an excellent result despite this. "The Eyes Have It" came first and won a bottle of gin with an excellent performance just one point behind by "The Real South View" who only had two team members this time. They won a box of chocolates. Third prize, and a caddy of tea, went to "The Quarter Wits". Thank you for all the generous donations which will help towards the maintenance and improvement of the village hall. |
Easter Egg Hunt 29th March 2024
Despite some cold winds, there was a good turn out at this Easter gathering. Plenty braved the cold weather to go on the egg hunt outside. Eggs were hunted for, games were played and a good number of hot drinks and cakes were consumed.
The free Easter eggs were very popular. Our thanks go to all who donated them, including Asda and Morrisons.

Burns Night Quiz on 26th January 2024
This was a popular event with nine teams and around forty participants. "The Real South View" won the quiz, taking away a bottle of whisky for their efforts. The booby prize winners will remain anonymous, but they did manage to win a deep-fried Mars bar kit.
Many were surprised to find out just how few calories there are in a deep fried Mars bar, but still probably best not to include them in your diet.
